From Sketch to Virtual Walkthrough
The Project
Residential barn conversions in Denmark. Small studio practice working on tight budgets, converting agricultural structures into contemporary homes. The challenge: visualize complex spatial transformations, align client and builder expectations, and generate project visibility—all from limited resources.
The Approach
The process started old school: coffee meetings, pen and paper sketches, design intent discussions. From there, NOR3D built the project in Unreal Engine 5, creating video walkthroughs that functioned as complete spatial guides. Every room, every angle, materials in context, light through the day.
These weren't just pretty videos. The architect used them to test design decisions before committing. Clients could explore spaces and give feedback early. Builders understood the vision without interpretation gaps. Everyone worked from the same reference. Once design was locked, the same assets went straight to social media and PR—no additional production needed.
The Result
One visualization package serving multiple functions: design validation, client communication, builder coordination, and market presence. Faster decisions. Fewer misunderstandings. Project visibility that attracts the next client. All delivered within small-studio budgets.
