The Project

Postbyen transforms a former industrial area into one of Copenhagen's largest mixed-use developments. Working with AART Architects, NOR3D created visuals that informed design decisions before transitioning into sales materials.

The Approach

Understanding how people actually move through Copenhagen matters. NOR3D's team walked the surrounding neighborhoods, documenting urban commuting patterns from Dybbølsbro Bridge near the Cactus building. Morning rush flows, evening pedestrian routes, how residents naturally cut through spaces. These weren't stock lifestyle scenes. This was real Copenhagen behavior informing how the development would connect to the city.

Interior visualization revealed spatial considerations that weren't visible in plans. AART used these early visuals to refine layouts before construction, catching design opportunities when changes still cost hours instead of millions.

The Result

Visuals grounded in Copenhagen's actual urban rhythm. Design validation that reduced risk. Sales materials that showed buyers how Postbyen fits into the city they already know. The Dybbølsbro Bridge exterior was nominated for the 2024 ArchViz 3D Awards.
