Finding the Right Story Through Exploration

The Project

Hammar Museum competition entry required visuals that communicated both architectural vision and cultural narrative. Through long-term collaboration with the design team, NOR3D was trusted to explore camera angles and compositional possibilities beyond the standard competition views.

The Approach

Rather than following predetermined viewpoints, NOR3D worked alongside the architects to discover which angles told the project's story most effectively. Multiple camera studies tested different spatial readings. Some emphasized the museum's relationship to landscape. Others focused on interior atmosphere and how visitors would experience the collection spaces.

This wasn't about rendering what was specified. It was about finding what worked. The collaboration allowed the design team to see their project through fresh perspectives, refining both architecture and presentation strategy together.

The Result

Competition visuals that captured the museum's narrative intent, not just its form. The exploratory process strengthened the submission and demonstrated how visualization can be a design tool, not just a final deliverable.
